Big Heed & Alien roll through Monique Show

Posted By on Mon, Apr 18, 2011 at 6:07 PM

The first time I saw Alien perform a few years ago at Lenny's Bar (RIP), he was so animated during his performance he accidentally broke the snare drum — but one snare drum don't stop no show. He ended up taking his show-stealing performance to one of the back doors, where he proceeded to "play" it like it was his last show ever.

I knew then that dude was destined to be somebody — and that it was going to take one hell of a performer to match his energy. Enter emcee, Shaheed.

Now, the dynamic duo Big Heed & Alien will debut their talents on BET's "The Monique Show" tonight at 11 p.m. Sure, the average age of Monique's crowd is probably like 47, but Heed & Alien, who have already made their mark as 106 & Park's first resident house band can rock any crowd.

Here's hoping Alien breaks something.

Watch their "Tipsy" video.
