Tonight's Battle of the Venues

Posted By on Wed, Apr 20, 2011 at 4:38 PM

As the central hub of Southern hip-hop (yeah, I said it) it's no wonder that Atlanta would have any number of emcees performing on any number of stages across town. Tonight, however, several local heavy swingers, all emerging rather recently into the bigger spotlight, play in different spots across town. A rumination: Why wasn't there enough room on one stage for all of these guys?

At The Loft, Meridian, Mississippi's Big K.R.I.T. performs, most likely focusing on tracks from his recent, as well as incredible, Return of 4Eva release.

Meanwhile at Smith's Olde Bar, Playboy Tre teams up with Sean Falyon, Aleon Craft, and a slew of others for the "Red Cup Party." The flier promises free beer, so hold 'em to it.

Finally, on the other side of town, Cyhi da Prynce and Pill headline the "4Twenty Arts & Music Festival" at the King Plow Arts Center.

Be careful runnin' around out there tonight, y'all. Just cause it's 4/20 doesn't mean it's legal.
