Wolves has a new, three-song demo CD that’s starting to make the rounds. Check out the lead cut, “Twenty Something,” which has touches of a clean and punchy modern take on new wave going on. It's not too electro-centric, but it's definitely one for the club.

The song, according to vocalist Kyle Dreaden, ruminates on the time in one’s life when they’re granted license to be young and reckless, but also old enough to tell people to go to hell.

Wolves play the Basement (underneath Graveyard Tavern) with the Romans. Fri., May 20. $7. 9 p.m.
