Over the past two years, Roman Photos has evolved from a post-punk, dance-rock quartet into an ambient brand of electronic music that, in some instances, rode the only crest of chillwave inside the Perimeter. But after losing bassist Chris Daresta — the rest of the guys say it was an amicable parting of ways — they’ve opted against moving forward under the same name.

In the meantime, the remaining three members will continue working together from time to time, as well as their personal endeavors. Allen Taylor is continuing with his Feast of Violet project (watch for a new record soon), Drew Haddon is working as Warning Light, and David Mansfield will be releasing material under the moniker Stranded. Daresta will be releasing solo recordings under the name Anticipation, and has a new band in the works as well.

For now, they’re offering their final work, Inland Lines, an EP recorded between the end of last year and now, for free. The group has been playing these four spacey dance tunes live for months, but they weren’t available until now. Bid adieu to Roman Photos via a stream/download of the whole shebang on the Roman Photos’ Bandcamp page.
