Jungol summer madness begins Saturday at Star Bar

  • Jungol

Atlanta electro/experimental rock trio Jungol kick off the summer with a party at the Star Bar this Saturday, June 25. Earlier this year the group released the new single, “Who’s in Bed,” and has been working on a slew of new material set for release sometime next year. “On the last album we were going for a pretty washy sound and we definitely used a hell of a lot of reverb,” says guitarist Graham Yoder. “I wanted to blend certain sounds together and create an effect to where you couldn’t tell what instrument was making what noise. On the new album we want to go the opposite way."

Bassist/vocalist Josh Yoder adds, "This new batch of songs is definitely some of the danciest music we’ve made, and some of the heaviest in a lot of ways.”

The group plans to debut most of its new songs this Saturday, before heading out on a summer tour of the Southeast.

"Who's In Bed"

Jungol, Winter Ransom and A: The Color play the Star Bar Saturday, June 25. $7. 8:30 p.m. 437 Moreland Ave. 404-681-9018.
