Noisey gets to know Balkans

Vice magazine's concert-streaming site Noisey is a pretty nifty service. For the past few months, they've been streaming spotlights on both established and up-and-coming bands, featuring live performances spliced intermittently with interviews from friends, fans, and the bands themselves. Past features have included Toro Y Moi, Mogwai, Jeff the Brotherhood, and more.

Recently, Noisey has turned it's cameras on Atlanta buzz-rock band Balkans, offering up live footage from their July 7 show at legendary Athens venue the 40 Watt. In between the high-quality clips of Balkans belting out fan-favorite tunes "Black Swan" and "Georganne," various commentators weigh in on the performance and the band's history. It's a pretty fantastic way to learn more about an artist and experience their music all at once. So if you're new to Balkans or an old fan looking for some fresh footage, Noisey's spotlight is well worth checking out.

Check the embedded video below, and make sure to watch the whole series via Nosiey.
