An informal reunion of Atlanta's art/music scene from back in the Opal Foxx days is happening tonight at Railroad Earth (aka Neil Fried's house at 1467 Oxford Road) near Emory Village — just down the street behind Everybody’s Pizza. Photographer and former DQE/Rock*A*Teens drummer Chris Verene is in town from New York, which is a good enough excuse to throw a party and bring the tenants of Atlanta’s indie, underground and otherwise outsider scene of the early to mid ’90s out of the woodwork.

Verene’s drum and violin duo Bach on a Hook will be on hand playing rock interpretations of Bach numbers, marking its first show in Atlanta since 2001. Acoustic avant-guardians Flap are also set to perform.

Fried will show some art films and Verene will be showing some art as well. It’s free and things will probably get started around 9 p.m.
