Keri Hilson on being a freak

Remember when Decatur-bred R&B artist Keri Hilson was catching so much flak over her "The Way You Love Me" video? You know, the one where she shed her good-girl image for torso-thrusting, bust-clutching, bank vault-licking horndog. Well, she semi addresses that in the first part of this video interview with Fader magazine, explaining the difference between being a freak and a ho.

Sounds plausible to me. Besides, Hilson couldn't come across as a ho even if she wanted to — which is the real reason why that video got so much of the wrong kind of attention. It seemed so out of character for such a classy chick, industry pressure notwithstanding. So yeah Keri, we get it, especially when you seem less desperate to give it to us. Keep rockin', pretty girl.
