Backseat Dreamer vs. Ghede Iheme

This recent Ghede Iheme remix of Backseat Dreamer’s “For Starry Eyes” is pleasant wallpaper for a lazy Sunday afternoon as summer draws to a close. The song first appeared on South Carolina resident Sean Neuse’s, aka Backseat Dreamer’s, 2010 album The Color Of Dreams, They're In You (Stickfigure Records), but it’s more of a melancholy electro-pop cutter in its original form. For those who are unfamiliar, Ghede Iheme is an alias for Mat Cothran of Coma Cinema. By removing the vocals and perceptibly danceable rhythms, his remix of “For Starry Eyes” ups the ante on the billowing qualities of this already meandering piece of electronic mood music, and reconstructs it to carry warmth and exquisite ambiance. Click below and let it ride.
