Mastodon cometh to Criminal Records

Posted By on Tue, Sep 20, 2011 at 2:55 PM

Mastodon’s new CD, The Hunter, hits the streets this Tuesday, September 27 (vinyl drops Nov. 15), and the group will be on-hand at Criminal Records for a live Q&A/album signing party at 6 p.m.

To gain entry to the event you must pre-order The Hunter on CD/LP, through the store, and you guessed it, Criminal is now accepting pre-orders. Of course this is all set up to help fund the Save Criminal Records effort, and if you don’t want to buy the physical media there’s also going to be a pretty badass limited edition Mastodon T-shirt available on Tues. (see below). All proceeds from T-shirt sales will be donated to the store.

Shirts will be available for $20 on their own, or $15 if you buy the deluxe fancy-pants version of the CD, or the LP.

You might be able to show up on Tuesday, buy the album and walk right in. However, the store's capacity is limited to 300, so unless you want to be stuck on the sidewalk, hanging out with the "do you like good poetry?" guy, it might not be a bad idea get a jump on it.
