Howlies call it quits

Howlies announced on Facebook today that the group’s Halloween show at the Star Bar will also be its last.

The thread online contains mostly frowning emoticons from fans, but no explanation from the band as to why this is Howlies’ last show. On the phone, drummer Aaron Wood wouldn’t divulge too much.

“I’m not offering up any personal information about why we’re quitting our band,” he said. Wood doesn’t personally have other projects in the works, he said. The conversation was brief. He called back within minutes to provide another reason for the dissolution of the band.

“The other day I took a mastur-nap,” Wood said. “It’s where you masturbate and take a nap afterward. And then I woke up from my mastur-nap and I was like, ‘Whoa, I’m gonna quit a band.’ So if you wanna publish that, you can publish that.”
