Tonight marks the first of what's planned to become a recurring club night dubbed “The Left Field Experiment.”

Stacked with more than a dozen producers, performers, and DJs, all inspired by the experimental beats and musical stylings of Flying Lotus, Prefuse 73, J Dilla, and the likes, The Left Field Experiment is designed to become a platform upon which otherworldly hip-hop and head nod beats from Atlanta can flourish and inspire a musical dialogue amid like-minded artists in 2012.

For this first installment Time Wharp, Floyd da Locsmif, P Villa, Rekchampa, Spytek, JDKNS, DJ Sky, DJ Nervex, Psych Army DJs, and several more are on deck to perform. Hosted by DT from Clan Destined.

Free. 9 p.m. 529. 529 Flat Shoals Ave. 404-228-6769.
