New Music Lyric Jones, 'Loss On Repeat' with DJ Raydar Ellis and Esperanza Spalding

“Loss On Repeat” is a new number that finds Atlanta lady MC Lyric Jones paired up with Esperanza Spalding (bass and vocals) and DJ Raydar Ellis, delving deeper into a blend of jazz moods and hip-hop grit. It's a noirish number with a street-hardened edge lying on a bed of snaps and crackles — the sound of dirty grooves on the turntable.

Spalding's gliding hooks add an extra smooth dimension to Ellis' atmosphere that only pushes Jones to turn out some of her boldest verses to date.

"Loss On Repeat" is the third song from Jones’ forthcoming album, Jones St., following “Gotta Go” (feat. Aleon Craft & Playboy Tre), and “Trapped In The CIty Lights” last year.

The album is due out Feb. 7 via Jones 4 Lyric. Stay tuned for more.
