This just in from the tubes: the lineup for this year's edition of hot, miserable desert festival Coachella has been announced, and it's pretty much what you'd expect. In addition to now-requisite headliners Radiohead, this year's shindig features 2011 ballooners Bon Iver and the Black Keys, along with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg and a mildly impressive host of others, including atmospheric rockers Explosions in the Sky and reunited British pop legends Pulp.
There are, actually, some cool surprises afoot, like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, who pop up now and again but whose presence is infrequent enough to warrant an indie rock freakout with each announced appearance. GY!BE in the desert under the stars, yes please. And then there's At the Drive-In, whose announcement today of a reunion had the Twitters so abuzz I thought it was 1999 all over again. (Seriously, though, I want to see At the Drive-In. I mean, come on.) Other coolness: Death Grips, Refused, M83, Cat Power, et cetera. And apparently there's a band called The Dear Hunter, but I'm pretty sure Bradford Cox isn't in it.
Extravagantly priced tickets will probably be available soon. For the full lineup, click the image above.
