Bankhead's finest, T.I., and late hip-hop legend, Tupac Shakur, seem to share a lot in common — from their aggressive styles to their ability to speak to the streets to their excessive rap sheets. Since his release from prison last September, Tip has also developed a 'Pac-like fervor for recording.
While speaking with MTVNews about his new album, Trouble Man, T.I.P. revealed that while he's going to keep it street, he's looking to reach a new crowd.
"I'm talking like gutter, gangsta, intellectual ignorance, hardcore stadium shit," Mr. Harris shared. "At the same time, we got those over the top crossover records as well, big features and whatnot that we plan on putting into play."
Helping Tip craft these crossover records are artists such as Akon and Rico Love. But who could be a bigger help for a crossover record than Taylor Swift? The country-pop queen requested the King's presence when her Speak Now tour made a stop in the A. The whole ordeal was showcased on T.I.'s Vh1 show, The Family Hustle. But that's just a hunch.
What can be confirmed is that Tip has been in the lab with Dr. Dre. Some of the fruits of their labor have already surfaced on the New Year's Day mixtape release, Fuck Da City Up.
Outside of Trouble Man, T.I. is also working on a collaborative album with Grand Hustle's resident alien B.o.B, appropriately titled The Man & The Martian. Even with that hefty amount on his plate, Tip may STILL have an ace up his sleeve: a collaborative album with Young Jeezy.
Though he told Los Angeles radio station Power 106's LA Leakers that the project is merely a thought, T.I. is focused on bringing Atlanta back to the forefront.
"In my absence, I’ve seen the city take a backseat, if you will, to other areas and other regions," he explained. "I’m not trying to sleight nobody’s efforts or nobody’s contributions to the game, but I know what my city represents and I know what my city’s capable of. And if I feel like we’re not living up to our full potential, I’m going to gather all the cats who I know who supposed to ride for the town like I ride and we gon' get it back right. So that’s what we're focused on right now.”
Sounds like a Southern Watch the
Throne Trap in the making.

Yes, 14 is the correct answer. I'll pass your info along to the group's manager,…
That was January of 2007, and they are 21 now, so I'm guessing 14?
