BOSCO has a Kickstarter going

Posted by Chad Radford on Wed, Feb 1, 2012 at 9:30 AM

Brittany BOSCO has a new EP in the works titled Let Go Of Me and she's just about to wrap things up and take show the road. But after spending the last few months in the studio crafting this new batch of sensual, experimental post-jazz/trip-hop numbers with the whole group, there’s no money left, and putting gas in the van ain’t cheap.

Invoking the rallying cry of so many independent artists these days, she’s gone the Kickstarter route and launched a campaign to raise $5,000 by Feb. 26. Of course, there are plenty of perks that come along with donating anywhere from $5-$5,000 to the cause (see the right-hand rail of her Kickstarter page for more). Donate $500 and the group will have dinner with you (and you'll get plenty of other goods as well). Donate $5,000 and they’ll put on a show for you. But Daddy Warbucks be warned, if you drop five large on the group and you’re "outside of a 200 mile radius," you’re flipping the bill for travel expenses, too.

To keep the money train rolling, BOSCO is playing a show tonight (Wed., Feb. 1) at Noni's with KidSyc and Brandywine (from Savannah). There's no real cover charge at the door, but donations will be taken and they'll be poured into the Kickstarter account. Music starts around 10-10:30 p.m.

Noni's. 357 Edgewood Ave. 404.343.1808.
