Music news Haters gonna hate ...

As a cultural meme, “hater” is one of those words that gets used all too often, and incorrectly at that. But I guess I'd expect to be called a "hater" by a band that's still going on and on about swag in 2012.

Hater is so overused!
The implication is that you really like the album, but you were so overcome with jealousy that you gave them a bad review out of spite. Classic. Too many bands could never possibly imagine that listeners won't be as into their music as they are.
we'll see how you feel after the video drops. : ) there's no such thing as bad publicity when yr in our position, appreciate the post!

Baby Baby consists of an amazing frontman backed by 2 amazing musicians. These guys deserve much more attention than they are getting. Their live shows are always energetic and usually the whole crowd is dancing and singing along. "Kids" is another good example of a catchy riff of theirs. That being said, their songs can only be realized to their fullest potential after seeing the band live.
I like how spite came back into the conversation.
Spite is not the same thing as legitimately not liking something.
Spite implies a deliberate desire to hurt. That is different than just not liking poorly crafted tunes. Even fans say, "their songs can only be realized to their fullest potential after seeing the band live." That means album is not as good as it should be: 2/5
YES! One must first achieve success to be hated upon. Great point!
@ilikecool I would say that there are many very good bands that are much better live than recorded. All Get Out and Foxy Shazam, just to name two that stick out. That doesn't mean, however, that their album is "poorly crafted" and deserves 2/5 stars. It is good music. Not everyone is going to like all music, though.
THIS BAND SUCKS! I have seen them live. They really blow. Most of the time if Chad things a band blows i disagree. He is dead on with this one.
It makes sense that someone who likes All Get Out and Foxy Shazam would defend Baby Baby.
Just so you guys know, our last album is called Money because if had more of Money it would sound sooo good! Quality wise but sadly we had just enough to get a couple studio quality songs and did the rest guerrilla style. If our parents would support our dream then yeah but they don't. No worries tho cuz the next album is gonna be amazing. Not gonna reveal the title yet but we've already started recording it! IN A REAL STUDIO THAT COST MONEYYYYYYY! More info tba.

No negativity since the video dropped, I see. The video AND the song itself are absolutely badass. But, I think we can all agree that not everyone enjoys the same kind of music. So it seems to me that Chad Radford is out of his element in reviewing any of Baby Baby's tunes/videos, because if he enjoyed this type of rock, he would be able to see the progressive genius in place here. I mean.. I despise Country music, so why would I go review an album by Garth Brooks? Even still, I do not see how anyone can deny the musical talent and abilities of the musicians in Baby Baby.

You must be right, pflan, the cessation of posts in a two week old thread is clear evidence that Baby Baby silenced all the haters with this video.
If you're going to defend these guys, maybe pick a different angle that doesn't involve saying shit like "progressive genius" and "musical talents and abilities." That's how people defend jam bands and Steve Vai. As far as I can tell, Baby Baby is more interested in writing party anthems than they are in pioneering new forms. Which is a perfectly fine goal to have. Just don't act like they're all a bunch of virtuosos. I doubt they would even make that claim.
Just because you like something or find it well done doesn't mean it's progressive.

Thats the stupidest thing i've read here in a long time. As if all reviews of bands should be positive ones, and if they aren't then the reviewer must just be out of his element. Fuck that.

Let me explain to you how the internet works. To be more specific the way blogs work. New articles are written for the blog every day. People comment on the fresh articles. The reason nobody has commented about this post has nothing to do with the quality of the song or videa. It's simply been forgotten.
NOPE. YOU GUYS ARE WRONG AND PFLAN IS RIGHT! THE REASON PEOPLE STOPPED COMMENTING IS BECAUSE WE'RE FUCKING AWESOME. THAT IS ALL.
