There are no two ways about it, Big Freedia is a leader of New Orleans’ so-called “sissy bounce” scene, but if you ask Freedia there’s no difference between the sissy and the non-sissy side of things, it’s all bounce.
Freedia's playing a show at the Earl on Sat., Feb. 4, with Noot d' Noot and DJ Dookie Platters, and there’s gonna be “Azz Everywhere!” But before she shakes the foundation, she’s teaching a dance class from 4-6 p.m. at the Earl for a paltry $5 an hour. So if you’ve ever wanted to shake it like a pro, here’s your chance to learn from a true master.
