Horny Dinosores release first single, 'Big Sur'

Horny_Dinosores.jpeg
Psych-punk duo Horny Dinosores is comprised of Stephanie Luke of the Coathangers (drums/vocals) and Chad LeBlanc of Vegan Coke (guitar and vocals). Their first single, “Big Sur,” is a jagged bit of wavering, noisy fodder that they came up with after a night spent camping out last year in Big Sur, Calif. “When we were writing our first few songs we wanted to write something about our psychedelic experience in the Red Woods and thought the music for this song would be perfect for that …”

It's a bit of a different direction for both of them, but it's still quite raw and unpredictable.

Horny Dinosores aren't playing around town anytime soon, but as Vegan Coke is on hiatus LeBlanc has been moonlight with Resons, who are playing the SXSOWHAT party on Saturday March 17 at the Sampson St. Warehouse (145 C Sampson St. next to MINT Gallery). Free. 9 p.m. Ghost Bikini and Dino's Boys perform as well. Paul from Reactionary Records spins records.
