Before you rush to judgment, the B.o.B/Taylor Swift collabo hasn't even dropped yet. The video above is for his new single, "So Good." Still, I know what you're thinking. But B.o.B's from Decatur, man — as in South Dekalb County, Decatur — so chill. Anyway, Maurice Garland recently previewed his whole album, so I'll let him speak on it:
I know critics were saying that it was the hit songs and the people featured on them, not B.o.B himself, that made his first album do what it did. With this album, I think B.o.B went out of his way to make sure that didn’t happen again. No one steals the show from him this go around. B.o.B handles the lionshare of the production too. On top of that, I know B.o.B is considered “pop” now, but he didn’t go all Technomania on this album which seems like the thing to do now, which I appreciate greatly. He kept it Bobby Ray and rode in the lane that he created for himself.
Strange Clouds drops May 1.
This is such a cool idea and the performance is great (I've been twice) but…
