Mudfish's top 6 silky smooth singers who pale in comparison to Ben Hameen

Last week, W.I.C. released it's first post-album track of the year, called "Follow Me." Now they're back with yet another new song, called "We The Kings," and this one features the golden voice of Atlanta rapper Ben Hameen (Collective Efforts, LOA). This new number totally goes submarine style with that probing sonar, but it's Hameen's lady-killing purr that takes the song deeper and higher.

With that, W.I.C. DJ Capeeton Mudfish calls out six silky smooth singers that give Ben Hameen a run for his money.

6. Barry White - The prince of pillow talk went to jail as a kid for stealing $30,000 dollars worth of Cadillac wheels, which is almost a match to Ben Hameen's polished-out chrome-plated voice.

5. Melvin Franklin - When Melvin passed in 1995, the Temptations asked Ben to take his place, but he was already busy starting a band called LOA.

4. Luther Vandros - Almost as smooth, but Hameen would never dance with his father.

3. Isaac Hayes - The only thing that Isaac has on Hameen is that he has a cartoon character in Southpark.

2. That dude from The Oak Ridge Boys - That guy came to Atlanta kickin' that "Elvira" ish, but he heard what Ben Hameen was doing and ran back to that "Bobbie Sue" chick.

1. Nate Dogg - Well ... Hameen is the White Nate Dogg.

W.I.C. plays the Basement on Fri., May 4 with Grip Playaz and Lyric Jones.
