Pls Pls checked in a little earlier this week with another new single. This one's titled "The Body Politic," and it finds Dan Dixon returning to handle pretty much all of the instrumental duties - everything but the drums, which were played by Derek Murphy.
This time around, Dixon leans a bit more on the electronic end of things, which turns out to be a fitting match for the kind of glowering, atmosphere the songs kicks up. Not to mention such lyrics as, "A crowd has gathered at the window to stand around and watch you burn," are a natural fit for the sounds he's created here.
As Dixon explains, the song is all about the "all too common, yet petty feeling of watching somebody fail and getting a kick out of it."
come on man you know you got a bromance. you probably still rock that OutKast…
