The first visual for Killer Mike's R.A.P. Music album is pretty damn killer. Noisey debuted the nearly 10-minute long video for lead single, "Big Beast," featuring T.I. and Bun B, today. My first thought, upon hearing it was NSFW, was that it was either overly sexual or political. Somehow it's all of the above - andThen some. There's a bunch of horrific imagery and a narrative that's seems to flip rap's cliché gangsta image on its head. Think "Thriller" with tits and sociopolitical angst to boot. Something tells me MJ would be proud.
UPDATE: Had an inkling that this was true when I posted, but wanted to confirm first. Chad Radford says the pistol-packer in the video is, indeed, Fontez of Atlanta-based rock act Baby Baby.
For our recent feature on the release of R.A.P. Music, we interviewed Killer Mike at his Atlanta barber shop.
