Frank Ocean tour stops in Atlanta (Center Stage) July 22

Five days after the future of R&B, Mr. Frank Ocean, drops his Def Jam debut Channel Orange, he'll be performing live at Atlanta's Center Stage as part of a 15-city promotional tour.

Despite his OFWGKTA connect, random web commenters are already comparing dude to Marvin Gaye. The Internet be trippin' sometimes. But he's definitely got the mysterious thing down pat. And after one weekend, his new single "Pyramids," the first leak from Channel Orange, is already an undeniable classic — 10-minutes long, multi-layered as hell, and cooler than a fan. It's also rarer than OutKast, as Rembert Browne points out over at Grantland, in his critical look at the very long song.

Frank Ocean. $26.50-$29. 9:30 p.m. Center Stage, 1374 W. Peachtree. 404-885-1365. www.centerstage-atlanta.com.
