After opening sets from Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire and Despot, Killer Mike raged through a set that came to a head when he was joined by Big Boi, along with a handful of Dungeon Family cohorts (Blackowned C-Bone, Backbone, and more) to close out the set with performances of OutKast's "The Whole World" and the Purple Ribbon Allstars' "Kryptonite." Chaos in the crowd ensued.
It was a night full of too many highlights to keep an accurate tab: Mike's "Butane" and "Big Beast" were show stoppers, and when El-P took the energy up even further to close out the show, it felt like something historic was unfolding. "Full Retard," "True Story," "Drones Over BKLYN," and "Tougher Colder Killer" pumped through the soundsystem one after another, but when he launched into Company Flow's "Vital Nerve," he stole the show. Let's just say it was an epic night for Atlanta music, and photographer Brandon English caught the following images.
