The Beatles' 'Yellow Submarine' drops anchor at Plaza Theatre

Beware the terrible flying glove! Tonight (Thurs., June 28), the Beatles' 1968 animated masterpiece of pop art surrealism Yellow Submarine comes to the Plaza Theatre as part of the digitally enhanced film's U.S. movie tour.

The film starts up tonight at 9:30 p.m., but if you can't make it to Pepperland on this balmy school night, there'll be an encore matinee screening on Sunday (July 1) at 3:30 p.m as well.

See John, Paul, George, and Ringo save the world from the horrible music-hating Blue Meanies. ... Seems awfully poignant this week.

$10. 9:30 p.m. Plaza Theatre, 1049 Ponce de Leon Ave. 404-873-1939.
