On Sept. 19, Arrested Development will celebrate two decades in existence by headlining Creative Loafing's Best of Atlanta/40th Birthday party. In addition to turning 20, Speech and original Arrested Development members Headliner, Aerle Taree, Dionne Farris, and DJ Kemit appeared on a recent episode of TVOne's behind-the-scenes music documentary show "Unsung."
The episode reveals the struggles and successes of the multi-platinum Grammy-winning group started by Speech and Headliner when the two were students at Atlanta College of the Arts. Currently on a 20-year anniversary tour, Speech and the current lineup of AD will perform back-to-back hits from its 1992 debut 3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days in the Life Of... — including "Mr. Wendal," "Tennessee," and "Everyday People."
