Social Studies show off new song, ‘Flash,’ at High Museum

“Good evening, High Museum. My name is Zano Bathroom ... We Are Social Studies.”

?
There’s something inherently cool and wholly appropriate about that intro, especially considering the honed improv aesthetic that drives Zano and producer/mastermind Chris Devoe’s approach to crafting abstract hip-hop. The atrium at High Museum seems a fitting venue, and this multi-camera shoot offers a solid look at Socials Studies performing a newer song, called “Flash” (from the forthcoming album At Arms Length), back in April at the closing party for the Picasso to Warhol exhibit. The fancy camera tricks are a bit unnecessary here but they’re only a mild distraction.
