If you’ve been out wandering around the Atlanta Beltline recently you may have noticed a large pyramidal structure being erected along the western segment, near Ralph David Abernathy. Here’s what’s up: Local songstress Adron and her bandmates Colin Agnew and Mario Shambon are building the structure to be used in a video for the song “Pyramids” from her album Organismo. New York City-based independent filmmaker Barry Alexander Brown, who’s spent more than 20 years working as an editor on Spike Lee’s films, will shoot the video in mid-October, but until then they need your money and your materials to make it happen. The idea is to bedazzle the pyramid with found objects and junk treasures, CDs, discarded kitchen appliances, old jewelry, and basically anything else that can be repurposed as an art-thing. If you’d like to donate your refuse, Adron and Co. are accepting — nothing larger than a box fan, though.
