Live Review 2 Chainz was a crowd-pleaser for AUC homecoming

But before 2 Chainz hit the stage, the crowd warmed up by shamelessly booing and keying, showing their disapproval for opening acts, Lil Chuckee, Jose Guapo, and more. The crowd erupted when the DJ played "Mercy," starting in at Kanye West's verse, creating the right amount of tension before for 2 Chainz appeared on stage, simultaneous to his verse in the song. As the show went on 2 Chainz didn't do an awful lot on stage, nor did he need to. The audience was energetic enough, reciting the lyrics to "Birthday Song," "No Lie," "I'm Different," and most of his more popular songs. No drama, minus a shoving match between concertgoers at the front of the stage, which caught the man’s attention. "Ya don't wanna listen to me huh, you wanna fight huh, ok," as he went on to perform "Riot." To end the night on a calmer note, he closed the show by revealing a bit of his sensitive side when he performed "KO" — a favorite amongst the ladies. Showmanship and stage presence were lacking, but the energy and vibe that he brought to the music kept the audience engaged for what was ultimately a satisfying concert.
