Big Boi to appear on new versions of Frank Ocean and T.I. songs that already featured Andre 3000

Its not exactly an official Outkast reunion, but its a start
The first "Outkast" feature in six years will take place on a pair of reworked tracks.

Big Boi revealed on Twitter last weekend that he would contribute a verse on a new version of Frank Ocean's "Pink Matter," a track off of channel ORANGE that originally featured only Andre 3000. Big Boi was supposed to appear on the album version, but said back in July that he was left off because his one-time collaborator "didn't want an Outkast Record Coming out on anybody else LP."

Yesterday, Big Boi tweeted that a new version of T.I.'s "Sorry" would soon follow. On the original version of that song, Andre 3000's verse offers an apology to his cohort for stepping away from Outkast, in which he rapped: "This the type of shit that'll make you call your rap partner and say 'I'm sorry I'm awkward, my fault for fucking up the tours." Whether or not Sir Lucious Left Foot's guest spot will be a response to that remains to be heard.

Both new versions featuring the two Outkast members should be out in the coming weeks. For now, though, you can listen to the original versions of both those songs after the jump:
