Atlanta can be a cold, dark, lonely city in the winter, so why not slip away over the first holiday weekend of the year, make the 300 mile drive to Santa Rosa Beach in Florida, to catch some rays and some tunes?

?
Spread out along Florida’s Highway 30 around Santa Rosa Beach and South Walton Beach from Jan. 18-20, the 30A Songwriter’s Festival features a slew of great performers in mostly intimate club settings along the road, with a few bigger names doing outdoor shows. It’s an opportunity to hear widely popular artists Lucinda Williams, Mary-Chapin Carpenter, and Nanci Griffith, along with regionally recognized traveling troubadours like Tommy Womack, Grayson Capps, Freedy Johnson, Alison Moorer, Webb Wilder, and many more alt. country, folk, and solo acoustic performers. With over 125 booked acts doing close to 200 gigs, every day and evening is filled with potentially magic moments.

?
Booked in part by Decatur music attorney Russell Carter, Georgia’s rich musical scene is well represented at 30ASWF, with scheduled performances by Randall Bramblett, the Shadowboxers, Tommy Talton, Westley Cook, Diane Durrett, Elliot Bronson, von Grey, and others. It’s only fitting that he would bring some of our homegrown talent to the festival.
