Spread out along Florida's Highway 30 around Santa Rosa Beach and South Walton Beach from Jan. 18-20, the 30A Songwriter's Festival features a slew of great performers in mostly intimate club settings along the road, with a few bigger names doing outdoor shows. It's an opportunity to hear widely popular artists Lucinda Williams, Mary-Chapin Carpenter, and Nanci Griffith, along with regionally recognized traveling troubadours like Tommy Womack, Grayson Capps, Freedy Johnson, Alison Moorer, Webb Wilder, and many more alt. country, folk, and solo acoustic performers. With over 125 booked acts doing close to 200 gigs, every day and evening is filled with potentially magic moments.
Booked in part by Decatur music attorney Russell Carter, Georgia's rich musical scene is well represented at 30ASWF, with scheduled performances by Randall Bramblett, the Shadowboxers, Tommy Talton, Westley Cook, Diane Durrett, Elliot Bronson, von Grey, and others. It's only fitting that he would bring some of our homegrown talent to the festival.
But music isn't the only attraction. Besides the beach, the seafood, and the golf courses, there are scheduled screenings of Duke and the King, a documentary about musician (and Santa Rosa Beach resident) Duke Bardwell's time as a member of Elvis Presley's band. Co-directed by Canton' GA resident Kris Wheeler, the film tells the story of Bardwell's experiences working with his childhood hero, and the impact the relationship had on his own career. Already winning awards at other film festivals, the screenings promise to be one of the highlights of the event.

Yes, 14 is the correct answer. I'll pass your info along to the group's manager,…
That was January of 2007, and they are 21 now, so I'm guessing 14?
