It's that glorious time of year, where chaos reigns over Flat Shoals Avenue between 529 and the Earl. The lineup for the fifth annual Atlanta Mess-Around Festival is here, promising an exhaustively action-packed weekend of garage rock, surf, and pop music. The two-day event kicks off Friday, April 26, with a rowdy lineup featuring everyone from Greg Cartwright's Spector-punk stalwarts the Parting Gifts and haunted pop aficionados TV Ghost and Ghost Bikini, to JP5, a curious project featuring Gentleman Jesse and Joseph Plunket from the Weight.
Single-event tickets will be available soon at the Earl, Criminal Records, Decatur CD, Whole Foods, Fantasyland Records, some CD Warehouse locations, and online at Ticket Alternative. Festival passes already available online.
Acts playing the fest this year are listed below.
The Middle Class
The Parting Gifts
Natural Child Family Band
Mess-Around Dunch w/ Greg Cartwright
A Giant Dog
JP5 (members of Gentleman Jesse, The Ettes, and Cy Barkley)
