Music news WREKtacular 2013 marks 45 years of 'quality diverse radio'

WREK first hit the airwaves on March 25, 1968, and in honor of this great date in college radio history the annual WREKtacular benefit concert is happening on Saturday, March 30 at the Drunken Unicorn . The Purkinje Shift, Magicicada, Cicada Rhythm, and Good Golly Svengali are all on the bill, rounding out a solid local lineup.
It's $5 to get it, and additional donations are being accepted at merch table. If you want to give them some precious stones, I'm sure won't say no. Doors open at 9 p.m. 736 Ponce De Leon Ave.
