New Music New noise from deadCAT and Britt Teusink

Although "Meat" is the first number to leak from a forthcoming solo EP, the song's trajectory toward a less-caustic experience - combining the worlds of being both a producer and a folk musician - has become something of a theme for his next round of songs. Reining in a more refined palette while keeping the tone spontaneous is the mandate, which culminates here with an intimately personal song that would sound just as at home in a club as it would around a campfire.
On the surface, this seems like an intriguing change of pace for Teusink, but his prior solo offerings have never stayed in the same place for too long.
For more on this, check out the Older Women mixtape, which mostly features a collection of beats and song sketches. Then there are the random oddities floating around Teusink's and deadCAT's SoundCloud pages, each leaving plenty of room to roam around inside his body of work.
After all that, here's a brand new deadCAT number, titled "Wet Heat," from the forthcoming album Transientualism, due out March 10 as a digital release and cassette tape.
