
Emory University's Schwartz Center for Performing Arts has announced the 2013-14 Candler Concert Series lineup, and it all kicks off with a performance by violinist Tim Fain and the monster of minimalism himself, Philip Glass (piano) on Friday, September 27. Details are still forthcoming, but Glass will be participating in residency from Sept. 25-27, and will also premiere Cello Concerto No. 2, Oct. 26 with cellist Matt Haimovitz and the Emory University Symphony Orchestra. Atlanta's Thamyris ensemble will also be performing Glass' "Hydrogen Jukebox" featuring the poetry of Allen Ginsberg, but no date has been set yet. Stay tuned for more.
