Debuting tonight is Uniform, a three-piece that includes guitarist Josh Feigert and drummer Bobby Michaud of Wymyn's Prysyn along with Cheap Art's Matt Hatcher on bass. Michaud, who recently relocated to Atlanta from Charlotte, N.C., keeps adding to an impressive Southern hardcore resume, which includes drumming for Brain Flannel, Grids, and Double Negative. The new band gives Feigert, the bass player in Wymyn's Prysyn, a chance to play guitar and experiment with different sounds. "I wanted to play guitar in a band, and Bobby and I wanted to do a hardcore band," he said. On the band's Facebook event page, Feigert cites No Trend, Jerry's Kids, and Rudimentary Peni as influences on Uniform's sound.
The other new local act, Mercenary, has already debuted on the house show circuit, playing last Saturday at the Sampson Street Lofts. If its "current/former members of" list is any indication, the band should come armed with a set of brief, ripping hardcore songs. Mercenary combines members of Ralph and Manic with former Bukkake Boys lead singer Ruby and guitarist Jesse Lipper. A demo tape by the band is already slated for future release by Scavenger of Death Records.
Neo Cons likely released their final record, a 7-inch on Deranged Records, earlier this month. The band also includes two members of the Neighborhood Brats.
Neo Cons, Uniform, Mercenary, Acid Freaks, and Manic play 529 tonight (Thurs., March 28). Free. 9 p.m. 529 Flat Shoals Ave. 404-228-6769.

Yes, 14 is the correct answer. I'll pass your info along to the group's manager,…
That was January of 2007, and they are 21 now, so I'm guessing 14?
