Leaether Strip makes rare U.S. performance at the Shelter

Bands like KMFDM and Skinny Puppy may get the most credit for churning out what is now recognized as the origins of modern industrial and EBM, but Denmark's Leaether Strip deserves at least a cog of credit. Celebrating the Strip's 25th anniversary with the release of the cinematically symphonic Serenade for the Dead II, Claus Larsen and crew bring their '90s clang to Atlanta for one of only seven U.S. tour dates.

Tonight (Tues., July 9) with Cryogen Second, DJ Ghost, and DJ Moz. $18-$23. 9 p.m. The Shelter, 2101 Tula St.. NW. 678-694-7435.
