Noot d’ Noot goes ‘Bump in the Night’

‘Horn of Plenty’ ties together a cornucopia of musical styles

Image Noot d’ Noot celebrates the release of its fourth album, Horn of Plenty, on Saturday night (Aug. 10) at the Earl. It’s the group’s first proper album with bass player Ben Coleman, and in many ways it’s the Noot’s most realized offering to date - at least from a songwriting perspective. The album ties together a cornucopia of musical styles, touching on everything from glam rock to Latin grooves, hip-hop, straight funk, a New Orleans second line swamp thing, a slow jam, and a full-blown acid freak out. It’s pretty pop ... Pretty weird.

Check out the disco crisp strut of “Bump in the Night.”
