Ian Astbury of the Cult
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Electric, the album that hurdled the Cult out of the college radio circuit and onto mainstream rock radio, the group played through the album's tracklist at the Tabernacle on Saturday, August 17. The packed out crowd screamed out the lyrics to "Wildflower," "Lil Devil," "Love Removal Machine," and more. After a short break the group returned to play a second set of hits from throughout its career, including "Rain" and "She Sells Sanctuary," along with a few numbers from their latest album, Choice Of Weapon. White Hills from New York opened the show with a set of self-described "Fuzzed-out and motorik spacerock."
