Posted By on Thu, Oct 3, 2013 at 10:33 AM

Jason Orr, the man behind the FunkJazz Kafé Arts & Music Festival and the Diary of Decade documentary film, is back on the scene Saturday, October 5, to serve up the FJK Documentary Film Festival & Music Conference.

According to Orr, the one-day event "is for creatively inspired individuals interested in learning, developing and sharing ideas to coincide with new millennium strategies about how to thrive within the new film, video and music industries as it relates to their ever-evolving ecosystems."

The conference is set to feature panel discussions (featuring speakers like Speech of Arrested Development, Anthony David, Avery Sunshine, visual artist Fahamu Pecou and many more) film screenings (including the Sly Stone documentary "Coming Back For More"), DJs and more.

10 a.m.-11 p.m. Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Road, SW. For ticket and other info, visit funkjazzkafe.com/fjk-doc-film-fest-music-conference.
