UPDATE: Tight Bros Network has announced that tonight's Titus Andronicus show has been canceled.
BAD NEWS: Titus Andronicus canceled their surprise Atlanta show tonight. They said they would rather stay in Nashville instead. We are really sorry for those excited to see them. Vera Vera, Designer, Surragates, and MTN ISL are still playing as scheduled. Admission is FREE.
Nothing like starting your week off with a surprise punk show. In case you don't get your fill of raucously noisy tunes from Crystal Stilts' set at the Earl tonight (Mon., Oct. 28), do yourself a favor and stroll a few paces southwest to 529 for a free after party headlined by New Jersey's most literate bar punks Titus Andronicus. The band is no stranger to Atlanta, as they performed this past May with a one-two punch of a set at the Earl and an in-store at Criminal Records. But Titus' Springsteen-with-an-anarchy-tattoo live show is not to be missed. Expect the group to play a few numbers from their upcoming rock opera (due out spring 2014) as well as booze-fueled, history- and literature-referencing songs from their first three albums.
Titus Andronicus, VERA VERA, Designer, Surrogates, and MTN ISL. Free. Mon., Oct. 28. 10:15 p.m. 529, 529 Flat Shoals Ave. 404-228-6769.
