Atlanta shoegaze troup Twin Studies has gone through some changes in the recent past, stabling out with a lineup that now includes Jay Stanley (guitar), Jacob Armando (drums), Aubry Meers (vocals), and Jesse Kray (bass). But the biggest change is the crowd that will be hearing them tonight (Thurs., Nov. 14) when the group shares the stage with Geographer and Royal Bangs. Unlike Geographer's upbeat demeanor, Twin Studies revels in a more dreamy, slow rock sound, but the aesthetic differences are by no means a hindrance. "We're all pretty excited for a different crowd to hear us, as we're really solidifying our sound," Armando says. "There have been a few line up changes over the past year, and we think we've finally got a group together that's functioning well. This show with Geographer will most likely have a crowd of people that have never heard of us at all because we're a relatively new band and our music is pretty different than theirs."

Twin Studies plays the Drunken Unicorn tonight (Thurs., Nov. 14), with Royal Bangs and Geographer. $12. 9 p.m.
