It’s not a stretch to say that Mike WiLL made damn near everything in 2013, and to cap the year off he recently inked a deal for his Eardrumma Records imprint.

Mike WiLL posted a photo on his Instagram account with Jimmy Iovine, chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records, and former executive and his current manager, DJ Mormile. The caption for the pic read: “Label Deal | Interscope Records at brunch. Salute to my manager, @fakeworksince1978 and Jimmy Iovine. #EardrumaRecords is official.”

According to the folks over at Forbes, Mike WiLL earned almost $1.1 million in the last 12 months, and his catalogue of singles hit $9.8 million. A lot of Mike WiLL’s success can be attributed to his graduating from working with artists who fall into the southern trap production realm to lending his talents to a myriad of different performers.

From Rihanna’s “Pour it Up,” to wrecking-ball-riding-Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop,” 8.4 million Mike WiLL-produced singles were sold in 2013. Not bad for the guy who told Creative Loafing two years ago that having his own label was a “dream” he’s had since 2007.

“As big and broad as it sounds, I’m about to change the game,” Mike said. “I’m building a company, you feel me?”

Yes, sir. We do.
