Atlanta Zine Fest calendar release features Tantrum, TWINS, and Feast of Violet
The DIY media organization hosts a fundraiser with three local electronic/shoegaze acts.
The Atlanta Zine Fest (AZF) will host a fundraising show tonight (Fri., Jan. 3) at East Atlanta’s Hodgepodge Coffeehouse and Gallery (also home to the Atlanta Zine Library).
Featuring the electronic-influenced sounds of Tantrum, TWINS, and Feast of Violet, the event will sell a weekly planner created by 27 local artists and activists for only $6, all of which go directly to support AZF.
Founded by Amanda Mills and Tracy Soo-Ming, AZF held its first annual conference in June 2013. The organization celebrates DIY media like zines - independent underground publications that are usually self-created and have small circulations.
