Sounds From the Underground returns

Posted By on Mon, Feb 24, 2014 at 11:38 AM

Sounds from the Underground, the local jazz series hosted at the Elliott Street Pub, is revving up for its second annual festival with a full week of free performances, starting tonight (Mon., Feb. 24). Kicking off the bash is Alex Gordon's Hi-Fi trio featuring himself on baritonic guitar, Kevin Leahy on vibraphone, and Danny Paschall on drums. In between Monday and Saturday will be a parade of SftU regulars including Justin Chesarek, Jacob Deaton, Tyrone Jackson, Kevin Scott, and a list of jazzers too lengthy to discuss in full detail here. Local tenor titan Kebbi Williams wraps up the festival on Saturday.
