Young Thug & Zuse are a dynamic duo in 'Treasure'

Young Thug ft. Zuse, Treaure

Since he broke into radio with the Dun Deal-produced "Stoner," freewheeling Atlanta rapper Young Thug has found several willing collaborators: Nicki Minaj in a "Danny Glover" remix, fellow rapper Bloody Jay for Black Portland, Metro Boomin for a producer-emcee partnership titled (of course) Metro Thuggin.

New song "Treasure," also the first single from Dun Deal's compilation mixtape B.A.S.S. (Beneath a Silver Sky), finds Young Thug in one of his most compelling match-ups yet. While a crazed Thug hyperventilates through his verses, exclaiming of how he's living like UGK's punchier half Pimp C ("Lean! Lean, lean, lean, like a fiend!") and spilling lines of tongue-twisting wordplay as if he's inhaled helium from a party balloon, fellow Atlanta rapper Zuse adds brute force without weighing the song down. While revealing his Kingston roots with his dancehall cadences, he opts to draw out his sing-song lyrics in between gleeful "Bang Bang's," stretching through lines as if operating a slingshot. Zuse isn't as hyper as Young Thug, but he's just as playful, to the point where listening to any other song will feel like a come-down in comparison.

B.A.S.S. will also feature T-Pain, Wale, Migos, Rich Homie Quan, August Alsina, and PeeWee Longway. The mixtape is due out this spring.
