Founded in 2007, the Songs for Kids foundation brings musicians to children's hospitals in Georgia and special needs camps with bedside performances, live concerts, and other programs. 500 Songs for Kids is the annual fundraiser held by the organization that brings together tons of artists to play Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
This year, 500 Songs for Kids has already brought a number of performers to Smith's Olde Bar, Center Stage and the Earl, like Arrested Development and Glasgow, Scotland's twee pop act Belle & Sebastian, who performed Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta earlier this month with the organization (above).
The concerts are pay what you want, and all proceeds benefit the Songs for Kids foundation. Some of tonight's performers include John Driskell Hopkins (Zac Brown Band), Michelle Malone, and many, many more.
Songs for Kids will also make an appearance at next week's Shaky Knees Festival in Atlantic Station, where three children will perform original songs written through the Songs for Kids Records program.

Well, this years Music Midtown sucks!
I'm pretty sure he was 19.
3 people apparently love handing over an extra 40% in fees for nothing in return…
Dang. I thought they would name some actual headliners.
Forgot to mention that Iggy did a stellar show @ the Agora in the spring…
