So Nappy Roots members Skinny Deville and Fish Scales have called an audible on their SMKA-collaborative album, 3Days. Instead an album exclusively featuring the two MCs, the release will include the rest of Nappy Roots and be dubbed, The 40 Akerz Project. You might remember the video for "Tokyo," and this time around the fellas recruited Jarren Benton for their latest offering, "No Idea." The 808 Blake-produced track comes with a spins-inducing piano loop and lyrics about getting f'd up to the point of having an out-of-body experience. The Nappy boys hold their own, and of course, Benton closes things out in his signature spit-fire fashion.

It'd be interesting to see if the change has any effect on 808 Blake's early thoughts on how The 40 Akerz Project "sonically, is about losing ones' inhibitions." If "No Idea" is a sign of things to come, we're all going to feel a little more than buzzed when it drops.
